Important Fitment Information

From 1994–1997, Ford used the same 4-wire chassis harness on both gasoline and diesel trucks. Diesel applications only utilize two wires (power and ground), while the remaining two wires are unused. The unused wires were intended for the in-tank electric fuel pump found on gasoline models.

On 1983–1993 diesel trucks, the sending unit connects using the original 2-pin connector.

Plastic Tank Note: Sending units for plastic fuel tank applications do not include a new plastic locking ring. Reuse your existing locking ring or purchase a replacement separately if needed.
